Book Garden Duo

Privacy policy

Effective 16 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Book Garden Duo app (“the app”) handles, why, and the choices you have. The app is published by Aaratus, Inc. (“we”, “us”).

Information that stays on your device

Your reading positions, bookmarks, settings, the books and narration you download, and the record of the evenings you have read are stored only on your device. We do not receive them. Deleting the app deletes them. Downloaded books are kept out of iCloud backups because they can always be downloaded again.

Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used, so we can fix problems and make it better. It collects:

This information is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you. We do not use a user ID, Google signals, advertising identifiers or advertising features.

Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends a report so we can fix the problem. A report contains the technical state of the app at the time of the crash (such as the code that was running, the device model and the iOS version) and which book and screen were open. It is not linked to your identity.

Downloading books

Books and their narration are downloaded from our own servers, hosted by Amazon Web Services in the European Union. As with any internet request, our servers receive your device’s IP address and the app’s version in order to deliver the files. We use this only to deliver the books and to keep the service running and secure, and we do not use it to identify you.

What we never collect

How information is shared

We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. Usage statistics and crash reports are processed by Google as our service provider under its Firebase terms, and book downloads are served by Amazon Web Services as our hosting provider. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long information is kept

Usage statistics are kept for a limited period according to our Google Analytics retention settings, after which they are deleted. Crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for a limited period. Server records of downloads are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the service.

Your choices and rights

You can delete the app at any time, which removes everything stored on your device. Because the information we receive is not linked to your identity, we generally cannot connect it to you. Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. To make a request or ask a question, email us at the address below.

Children

Book Garden Duo includes classic books for a range of ages, but the app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International processing

Google and Amazon Web Services may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States and member states of the European Union, with the safeguards their terms provide.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
